1. Who is responsible for data processing?
We, the company Julius Blum GmbH, Industriestraße 1, 6973 Höchst, Austria, operate the websites www.blum-careers.com and www.lehre-bei-blum.at and collect the personal data you provide via the applicant management tool "onlyfy one" from New Work SE.
Vacancies at the Blum Group – hereinafter called "Blum" – are advertised via blum-careers.com. Blum comprises the affiliated companies of Julius Blum GmbH and its sister companies (System Industrie Electronic GmbH, Blum Bau und Infrastruktur GmbH, KDM Innovation GmbH, Wilson and Bradley Pty. Ltd.).
Apprenticeships at Julius Blum GmbH are advertised via lehre-bei-blum.at.
Depending on the nature of your application (see the scenarios described in point 4 "Who has access to your data?"), your personal data will also be passed on to, and processed by, the relevant Group company.
2. What data do we process?
We process the data you send us in connection with your application. This may include:
Email address
Title
First name
Surname
Telephone number
Date of birth
Address
Country of residence
Data contained in your CV
Photo
Other information provided (references, cover letter, etc.)
Whether you have consented to the extended data retention period of 2 years
It also includes data that you import into your application from social media such as LinkedIn, XING, etc. We also store notes and records made during the application process.
If your application is successful, we will collect further data relevant to your recruitment:
Social security number
Passport copy
Photo for employee ID card
3. For what purpose do we process your data?
We process your personal data exclusively for the purpose of processing your application, carrying out the application process and contacting you.
If you are hired, we will transfer your data to our HR master data system. Your application documents will become part of your HR file.
4. Who has access to your data?
There are several scenarios which explain how applications are managed. To give you a clear overview of what happens to your data, we have listed the following scenarios:
Scenario 1 – Application for a position at Julius Blum GmbH:
a) You apply directly for an advertised position at Julius Blum GmbH. Your documents will be preselected by the HR department at Julius Blum GmbH and made available to the relevant contact person in the department concerned. If we decide not to hire you, we may consider you for other positions. This means that your documents will be made available to contact persons at the Blum Group companies in Vorarlberg whose job profiles might match your qualifications and interests.
b) You send an unsolicited application for a position at Julius Blum GmbH. Your documents will be preselected by the HR department at Julius Blum GmbH. In the next step of the process, your documents will be made available to contact persons in the departments of the Blum Group companies in Vorarlberg whose job profiles might match your qualifications and interests.
Scenario 2 – Application for a position at an affiliated company of Julius Blum GmbH:
If you send an unsolicited or direct application for an advertised position at an affiliated company of Julius Blum GmbH, or if it turns out during your application process that you are open to a position at an affiliated company of Julius Blum GmbH, your application will be forwarded to the respective Group company after preselection by Julius Blum GmbH. If you are rejected for that particular position, your application will not be considered for other positions.
Scenario 3 – Application for a position at a sister company of Julius Blum GmbH:
If you send an unsolicited application or a direct application for an advertised position at a sister company, or if it turns out during your application process that you are open to a position at a sister company, your application will be forwarded to the relevant contact person at the sister company after preselection by Julius Blum GmbH. Here, too, we reserve the right to consider the possibility of employment at the Blum Group companies in Vorarlberg and therefore to make personal data available to the respective contact persons.
Please note: Some affiliated companies are based outside the European Union. Julius Blum GmbH asks the respective affiliated company to handle personal data in the same way as Julius Blum GmbH itself does and in the manner described in this declaration of consent. Any local differences will be agreed with you separately.
5. How long will your personal data be stored?
There are three options:
You opt for the "short" storage period of six months. This means that your application documents will be stored for a further six months after completion of the application process and then automatically erased.
By clicking the checkbox next to the "CONTINUE" button, you opt for the "long" storage period of 24 months. Your candidate profile is therefore retained after the initial application process and you may use it for further applications within this period.
If you are hired, we will transfer your data to our HR master data system. Your application documents will become part of your HR file.
Please note that if you submit a further application, this may extend the storage period. This is because we are required by law to retain personal data for six months after each application process is completed.
6. What happens if you pause your online application?
You can pause your online application at any time and resume it later. Please note: once you have filled in the first page with your contact details and agreed to the data protection agreement by clicking "CONTINUE", you have created an incomplete candidate profile. You will also receive an automated email sent to the email address you entered with access to your candidate profile. In this case, your application will be marked as incomplete and the data can already be viewed by our company. If you do not complete your application within three days, you will receive an automated email with information about completing your online application. We will only process your data once you have completed your application. If you do not receive a response from the HR department, it is probably because you have not yet completed your application.

So-called cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies (collectively "cookies") are used on the websites mentioned above. These cookies make the portals more efficient and easier for applicants to use and allow us to continuously improve them.
