Manufacturing fittings on time in the right quantity and quality so they are available to our customers all over the world on the dot: that's the task of our Production department. Over 4000 employees work in maintenance, machine operation and logistics with dispatch.

Modern workplace
The Production department contains many high-tech production machines, high-bay warehouses and vehicles, which are operated and maintained by our employees working in a 3-shift pattern. Attractive roles await in Manufacturing, Maintenance and Logistics, all with cutting-edge equipment at the different workstations. Our production halls are clean, bright, air-conditioned and ergonomic, with height-adjustable workstations and lifting aids. Safety is a key priority at all plants. Appreciation of our staff is also a major concern of ours. People from 53 different nations work together in our Production department – treating one another with respect and on an equal footing.

Manufacturing
Our Basic Manufacturing and Assembly department provides operating resources that are used to make a range of products in a flexible manner. At Blum, trained staff operate the production machines, charging them with raw materials and checking product quality. Employees with a technical qualification set up machines, deal with malfunctions and investigate faults.

Anyone can work here in Production as long as they have the right attitude – whatever their gender or education. We also train our staff.

Maintenance
Here staff repair, inspect and maintain Blum's building services facilities, machinery and tools. Anyone interested in technology and automated processes is in the right place here. Training courses are available for new staff. There is also the option of specialising in different technologies, for example in the field of robotics.

As a qualified technician for toolmaking I have built up my knowledge over the years. In my role as trainer, I am now able to pass it on to our apprentices.

Logistics
At Blum, the first step involved in logistics is at incoming goods, with unloading carried out by forklift truck drivers and warehouse operatives. Functioning of the automated high-bay warehouses at our plants is ensured by technically trained warehouse coordinators. Picking and dispatch of our products to customers also takes place at the Logistics department.
